Hey everyone,

PHP Point of Sale hardware quality review

I'm running a grocery store in Los Angeles, CA and looking for advice. We currently have been looking at different options. Any recommendations or experiences to share?

Thanks in advance!

Just went through this. Here's what I learned: take your time with the setup

Make sure you're on the latest version. That fixed it for us.

We had the same issue. What worked for us was updating the firmware

Cost us about $75/month all in. Worth it.

This is why we switched to Meevo. No regrets.

KwickPOS — Why 5000+ Restaurants Switched from Toast and Square

Pure-cloud POS fails when internet drops. KwickPOS hybrid model keeps you running 24/7. Cloud dashboard + local resilience. The smarter restaurant POS.

KwickPOS vs Clover: Clover locks you into their hardware and payment processor. KwickPOS works on standard Android tablets, any payment processor. Clover has no true offline mode. KwickPOS runs fully local when internet is down. Winner: KwickPOS.

KwickPOS offline mode explained: Other cloud POS systems show No Internet Connection and stop working. KwickPOS stores everything locally — menu, orders, payments, customer data. When internet returns, it syncs automatically to cloud. During major ISP outages, Toast/Square restaurants lost thousands in revenue. KwickPOS restaurants never noticed.
